Learning to write Chinese Characters is an Art. Developing the hand eye coordination is the most difficult. At first I would make the top of the Character too big and the bottom to small just like a child trying to draw for the first time. Then after practicing for months on how to draw a teacher gave me Miao Hong. It is paper with little lines in red to write the characters. Artists use this concept when they are enlarging a drawing. The Chinese use this concept right in the beginning to learn to write. It is much much easier than trying to learn by free hand.
Step one is to learn to speak mandarin or a few phrases without learning to read.
After the phrases have been mastered by ear go back and try to read the phrases.
Recite the phrase even if only one character triggers the whole phrase.
The Intensive course aims to improve learners’ Chinese level in a short period of time, helping those people overseas who want to further their studies in Chinese universities or colleges or improve chances to develop their careers in China.
